0823 Tropical Depression Flood caused agricultural damage. Dongshan District Office will accept agricultural disaster relief applications for cash relief and low interest rate loans from 8/26 to 9/4. All applications are processed according to related regulations. No late submissions will be considered.

I. 0823 Tropical Depression Flood caused severe agricultural damage; thus, Council of Agriculture announced Dongshan District qualified for agricultural natural disaster cash relief and low interest rate loans. Farmers with 20% or more of farming area affected by the flood should submit applications before September 4 following the regulations below. Relief items are listed according to Item 1, Clause 6 of Agricultural Natural Disaster Relief Act.
II. Application Dates and Sites: Starting now until September 4 at Agriculture and Construction Section, Dongshan District Office.
III. Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
IV. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. A natural person who practices agriculture, forestry, fishery, and husbandry in conforms with Clause 5 of Agricultural Natural Disaster Relief Act.
2. The affected farming area must be 20% or more in order to be eligible for the aid. Applications under 20% of farming area will not be considered.
3. One relief application is allowed for the same produce item in the same season.
4. Required Documents or Information: Seal, ID, Land Registration Transcription, original copy of Land Ownership Certificate, copy of Farmers’ Association bankbook, and rental agreements if renting from the public land.
