Central Weather Bureau forecasted extremely low precipitation in Western Taiwan where the reservoirs are located. Furthermore, the water storage in Zengwen and Wusanto Reservoirs were only at 30%. As a result, the indicator for water shortage was switched to yellow after the second meeting held by the Central Drought Emergency Operation Center. Night time reduced water supply would be implemented in Jiayi and Tainan areas, effective Nov. 18th.
